Vancouver, BC – August 23, 2019: BC Rugby Referee and Ex Canada Women’s National Team player Julianne Zussman has been named as one of the 26 strong team of match officials selected to officiate on the 2019/20 HSBC World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series.
It has been an intensive 12 months for the former Canadian International and Castaway Wanderers player. Since starting her refereeing career in 2018, Zussman has been involved in local and provincial Senior and Age-Grade rugby. In an action-packed yeah, highlights include refereeing the NextGen Women’s Final at BC Rugby’s Vancouver Sevens Invitational in March this year, as well as the BC Rugby Club Finals, National University Sevens and the Rugby Americas North Sevens Championships.
