Clubs and organizations across BC are offering exciting summer programs for youth interested in trying rugby or continuing their development.
Abbotsford Summer Rugby Camp
Rugby Canada stars Jordan Sandover-Best and Mackenzie Carson are just two of the coaches that will be running at Fraser Middle School from July 2-5. Designed for boys and girls aged 11-15, the camp will focus on key skills and drills including ball handling, kicking and tackling. The camp costs $150 and will include a t-shirt, rugby ball and pizza lunch on the last day of camp.

Seawolves Run With The Pack Camps
The two-time Major League Rugby champions are heading north of the border to help inspire the next generation of rugby stars. Title-winning from the back-to-back champs will be on hand for two Run With The Pack camps at Westshore RFC and Langley Rugby Club on July 6 and 13, respectively.
Brock Staller and Phil Mack, members of the BC Bears and the Canadian national team, were part of the historic 2019 Seawolves season and will be part of the coaching staff for the camps.
The camp in Victoria is for players aged 14-19 and will run from 9 AM to 3 PM, while the camp in Langley is for ages 4-13 and runs from 10 AM to 1 PM. Registration is $20 and includes a Seawolves T-shirt.
Langley RC: Rugby Rocks
Langley Rugby Club is hosting the “Rugby Rocks” camps throughout July, running Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-7 PM in Langley. Registration is $25 for the Rookie Camp, an introductory program for ages 4-12, and $45 for the Skills Camp, a more advanced program for ages 8-14. A program t-shirt and snacks will be provided, and discounts are available for parents registering multiple siblings.

Harry Jones’ HandsOnRugby
HandsOnRugby’s 6th Annual Camp run by Harry Jones and other Canadian national team athletes will hone their skills and receive high-level one-on-one coaching to reinforce the fundamentals of rugby, skill sets, gamesmanship, team camaraderie and fair play. The West Vancouver camp will run from August 6 to August 8, from 10 AM to 2 PM on all three days, and will take place at Klahanie Park, while the Langley camp runs from August 13 to August 15 at Langley Rugby Club.
Canadian national team gear will be given away as prizes throughout the camp. Registration is $210 for the three-day camp, and $10 from every camp registrant fee will be donated to KidSport, helping ensure that all kids have the opportunity to experience the power of sport. Healthy snacks and water have been generously donated by Helijet and will be provided during the camp.

Shawnigan Lake School Rugby Skills Camp and All-Sports Camp
Shawnigan Lake School will be holding a rugby-specific Skills Camp from the 2nd to 5th of July at their rugby facility on Vancouver Island. Through the same dates, they will host an all-sports camp which includes rugby. More information is available on their registration page.
UBC Thunderbirds Women’s Rugby ID Camp
UBC WOMEN’S RUGBY will be hosting a talent identification camp to evaluate athletes who demonstrate the potential to compete in the USport league. The camp will provide young athletes with the unique opportunity to live and train like a Thunderbird while staying in residence, and training at our facilities with like-minded players from across BC. This camp is open to open to any athletes born in or after 1999. Please note that enrolment is limited so athletes are encouraged to register immediately to secure their participation. The Overnight Camp option includes two nights of accommodation in UBC Residence as well as meals, while the Day Camp does not include either.

Canucks Autism Network, Xplore Sports and Richmond Oval are currently developing their summer programming, and expect to include rugby in their offerings, but details are yet to be confirmed.
Thunder Rugby Camp
Thunder Indigenous Rugby is holding a skills camp for U15-U19 boys in the Thunder Rugby program. The camp will run from August 20 to August 23 at Shawnigan Lake School, and registration is $250. For more details, please contact John at firstname.lastname@example.org.
