BC Rugby is proud to be part of a long tradition of developing elite rugby players and supplying our National Men’s and Women’s Teams with world-class talent.
BC Rugby Provincial Representative Teams compete at Championships and Tournaments which are attended by Rugby Canada Coaches and Selectors, and we’ve been successful in having many BC Rugby players invited to participate in Rugby Canada National Teams after their performances playing for BC Rugby.
On this page, you will find information about the selection policy, available subsidies and athlete ID sessions. You can also see, by team, the expected program of training sessions and matches this season.

Want to take your rugby to the next level and represent your province? Your journey starts here.
ID Sessions are open to all athletes of qualifying age. Depending on your age category, they are one of the ways for you to get noticed by selectors for a number of teams, including Regional Rep Teams, BC Rugby Elite Youth Sevens Teams and Canadian National Teams.
The BC Rugby Elite Youth Sevens Program is the starting point for all athlete ID sessions. Taking place in the Fall, sessions are run across the province and are open to current rugby players and athletes from other sports.
