Vancouver, BC – March 19, 2019: The details for the 2019 BC Rugby Representative XVs Team ID Sessions have been confirmed and registration is now open. If you are an Age-Grade player hoping to be part of one of the Provincial Rep XVs teams competing this summer, your journey starts here.
ID Sessions are part of a talent identification program, aimed to uncover and develop athletes that have the potential to play Provincial and National Level Rugby. Through these sessions, athletes have the opportunity to be selected for Regional Teams (PRCs) and the BC Rugby Provincial Age-Grade Representative XVs Teams.
This summer, BC Rugby will field teams in the following Age-Grades:
Boys – U19*, U18, U17, U16, U15, U14**
Girls – U18, U17, U16, U15, U14**
* U19 Male athletes will have a separate set of open ID sessions.
** U14 Athletes do not have ID Sessions and will be assessed during the Provincial Regional Championships
On the day, ID sessions will consist of physical testing, skill assessments and small-sided games. All players must bring the appropriate clothing, footwear and mouth guards for their session. ID Sessions take place across the province and you do not need to be a local player to attend a particular session, just find the one that fits your schedule.
