The Vancouver Rugby Sevens will be hosted this year by the Meraloma Rugby Club, on June 25th, 2011 at Connaught Park. The carousing will see divisions in Men’s Elite, Women’s Elite and Men’s Social for over $3,000.00 dollars in cash and prizes.
A refreshment manor will be offered on the day to eligible clientele, enabling them to wet the whistle, chat amongst friends, regale stories of yesteryear and gain a vantage point close to the action as teams and friends go head to head for series points in the BC Summer Sevens and cold hard Cash!
The famed Chef Morten Kohler of Tangerine Catering will be present with his mobile kitchen to supply the provisions for the festivities. Chef Kohler will bring his love of Asian fare coupled with his expertise in classical French and Italian cuisine that is sure to raise the bar in game-day gastronomy.
DJs Rob Chron and Dirwin Bogata will be warming up the crowd with sublime beats and grooves, while also bringing levity with witty observations and colour commentary of the day’s proceedings. Throw in some promotions and give-a-ways, entertainment is the order of the day at Vancouver’s principal sevens carnival. To ensure everyone is welcome, distractions will also be on hand for the kids, including a water park and jumping castle.
