The BC Rugby Conference is an annual gathering for Rugby coaches and referees, designed to improve the collective knowledge of coaches across the province. Top coaches and performance experts, from the world of rugby and beyond, deliver sessions across a two-day event. These sessions will take place both indoors and out on the field, giving attendees an opportunity to explore new tactics as well as discuss solutions to coaching challenges.
This is a fantastic program designed to help you learn about the latest coaching trends, strategies and techniques. Take some time out from delivering athletes and grab the opportunity to develop your expertise and become a better mentor.

With an extensive playing and coaching record behind him, Russell Earnshaw is a valuable source of coaching knowledge, particularly when it comes to innovation and transferring elite level learnings to grassroots initiatives. He's experienced some of the peaks of rugby both on and off the field, winning the European Champions Cup in 1997-98 with Bath as a player before being part of the England Rugby Sevens coaching staff from 2007-2013. Most recently, Russell has been working with the England U18 Boys' XVs Program with longtime coaching partner, Head Coach John Fletcher.
Russell, along with Fletcher, has also established The Magic Academy, a coaching consultation platform behind an innovative new coaching tool - Challenge Cards. Already being used by clubs and schools across the UK, these same principles are even being picked up by national programs as a way to change the mindsets of both coaches and players and how they approach development in rugby.
