About NextGen Sevens

BC Rugby’s NextGen Sevens Program, sponsored by Marcon, is focused on identifying and developing senior talent for Rugby Sevens events.  The program is open to male and female athletes who were born after 1999.  The program includes a talent identification process, leading to final team selections and training sessions.  More details about the process can be found below.  Selected teams will have the opportunity to represent BC in tournaments in both Canada and the USA, including The Vancouver Rugby Invitational and Las Vegas Invitational.

2018/19 ID Sessions

ID Session dates and details for the 2018/19 season have yet to be announced.  Sessions will be held on both the Island and Mainland to maximise availability to all eligible players.  Stay tuned for details.

Training Sessions

Following the completion of all ID Sessions, squads will be selected by head coach Aaron Frisby. Further training camps for selected squads will be held in early 2019 before a final team is confirmed.

Details for these practices will be finalised after all try-outs have taken place.
