Ruth Hellerud-Brown Cup
It's that time of year when Vancouver and Vancouver Island go head to head for a cherished piece of silverware. In the first game of a two-leg competition, Vancouver will travel to Cowichan where they will face a competitive VIRU team. The second leg is set for January 13th, but no doubt a victory in this first clash for either side will add a little extra psychological advantage. There's everything to play for, but who will come out on top?
Men’s Premier League
Castaway Wanderers will host Meralomas at Windsor Park, hoping a win will keep them in touch with the top three spots in the league, while third place Burnaby Lake will travel over to the Island to face Nanaimo. League leaders UBC, unbeaten since September, will host James Bay AA who are looking to make it a hat-trick of wins to round off this half of the season. Westshore will travel to Jericho to face UBCOB Ravens while UVic Vikes will play host to visitors Seattle.

Men’s Premier Reserve
The same matchups from the Men's Premier League take on new meaning in the Premier Reserve Division. Meraloma 2 still have their sights firmly set on overtaking UBC 2 for second place in the league, but will have to overcome a Castaway Wanderers 2 first. Meanwhile, a win for UBC 2 against visitors James Bay AA 2 would be enough to keep them ahead of their Vancouver neighbours. Seattle 2 will hope to take a second scalp of the season when they travel to the Island to take on UVic Norsemen.
Men’s Div 1
With both teams tied on 19 points, the match between Bayside Sharks and Abbotsford will set the record straight on the 3rd/4th place standings as we go into the Christmas break. Vancouver Rowing Club have racked up three wins in a row in the last few weeks, can they make it a fourth when they travel to Crush Crescent to face Langley? Finally, United will hop to the south side of Fraser River to take on leaders Surrey Beavers AA.
Men’s Div 2
Vancouver Rowing Club 2 will hope they can end the first half of the season undefeated, but doubtless Langley 2 will be happy to spoil that party when they meet at Crush Crescent. Abbotsford 2 against Bayside Sharks 2 has been cancelled.
Men’s Div 3
Kats will be keen to avenge last month's defeat at the hands of Squamish when the north shore team visit Balaclava Park. Meanwhile, Meraloma 3 have a chance to challenge for the top spot when they face Richmond at King George Park. Finally, Chilliwack will head west to take on Surrey Beavers AA 3 at Sullivan Heights.
