MARCOUSSIS, FRANCE – Canada Women’s Head Coach Francois Ratier has announced his starting roster to take on Spain to open the 2014 IRB Women’s Rugby World Cup in France on Friday, August 1st.

VANCOUVER, BC - British Columbia’s under-16 men’s provincial program heads into next week’s National Festival Championships in Calgary as the three-time defending champions. The BC-Gold (BC-1) team’s streak began at Calgary Rugby Park in 2011, when the squad downed Newfoundland 88-5 for the national title. BC-Blue (B-2) have also enjoyed recent success at Nationals, having won three straight bronze medals in their division.

Canada captures Bowl at Commonwealth Games in Glasgow

Canada lifted the Bowl at the 2014 Commonwealth Games Sevens after beating Trinidad & Tobago, Uganda and the Cook Islands at Ibrox Stadium on Sunday. After easing past Trinidad & Tobago in their earlier quarter-final before defeating Uganda 32-0, the Canadians were then ruthless against their final opponents. The XXth Commonwealth Games in Glasgow was an incredible event for the sport of rugby, as the four-day crowd of over 171,000 fans set a new Rugby Sevens  record.

VANCOUVER, BC - The BC Elite Youth Sevens 2013-2014 season wrapped up on July 12th with the program lifting its second major title. The BCEY7’s Gold team captured the Victoria International Youth Sevens, following up their undefeated performance in March that saw them lift the Standard Chartered Bank International Youth Sevens title.
