BURNABY, BC - For the first time in over a decade, Burnaby Lake Rugby Club will host a playoff match when the Canadian Direct Insurance Premier League semifinals kick off this Saturday at Burnaby Lake Sports Complex. Top-seeded Burnaby Lake (10-4) are at home to no.4 seed Castaway Wanderers (7-6-1) as the hosts look to secure a postseason victory that has slipped through their grasp in recent years. On Vancouver Island, a rematch of last year's Rounsefell Cup Final will see no.2 James Bay Athletic Association play host to no.3 Capilano RFC (10-4) at MacDonald Park. |

VANCOUVER, BC - The Nanaimo Hornets will be looking to lift their second provincial title in three years on Saturday when they take on top-ranked Kamloops Rugby Club for the Big Kahuna Women's First Division provincial championship. The Hornets were Division Two champions in 2011 and have since marched their way through First Division opposition, earning a berth into Saturday's Karen Moore Cup Final at Stanley Park's Brockton Oval. |

BURNABY, BC - BC Rugby's Canadian Direct Insurance (Men's) Premier League and Adidas Women's Premiership scoring titles were each claimed by Burnaby Lake Rugby Club players this season. James Reekie, a standout fly half for Burnaby's men's side topped out at 139 points while Julia Sugawara led the women's competition with 65 points. |
