BC U19 provincial team open trial scheduled for May 4 in Vancouver

VANCOUVER, BC - An open trial for the BC U19 men's provincial team has been announced for Sunday, May 4 at UBC's Wolfson Fields. The two-time defending national champions will be looking for a rare three-peat this summer when they travel to St. John's Newfounland for the 2014 u19 Canadian Rugby Championship (July 16-20).

Players interested in attending the May 4th session are required to confirm attendance with BC Rugby Provincial Coach and Development Manager Dave Brown (dbrown@bcrugby.com).

BC will be preparing for the competition against the Prairie Wolf Pack (Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba), Ontario Jr Blues, Voyageurs (Eastern Ontario-Quebec) and the Atlantic Rock.

The competition is used as a key scouting ground for the under-20 national program and all players looking to represent their country are required to participate in this competition.

The open trial is set for a 10:30am start on Sunday, May 4.
