VICTORIA - Rugby Canada's Manager of Coach Development Dustin Hopkins will be coordinating IRB Level One First Aid courses this weekend at no cost.

If interested, contact Dustin at dhopkins@rugbycanada.ca:

Hopkins asked the following information be circulated:

I have the opportunity to put between 10-15 people through the new IRB Level 1 First Aid program for free. This would normally be a cost of $100 but as we will be piloting the program for the first time in North America I can offer the spots for nothing.

The course will be led by 2 trainers from the International Rugby Board in Dublin and once completed will give the participants a certificate in basic first aid for rugby. The official name of the course is the new IRB Level 1 First Aid Course. This may be an opportunity to get a number of registered first aiders within your junior programs and no cost!

Each participant will be provided with a ticket for the ARC games on Saturday 19th October as well.

The course will take place as follows:

Rugby Canada Centre of Excellence, Langford
Part 1: Saturday 19th October – 8.30am – 1.30pm
Part 2: Sunday 20th October – 8.30am – 12.00pm

Please circulate to your teams, coaches and parents and let me know if anyone is interested. Participants will need to be age 16 years or above.
