About the BC Rugby Sevens Series
Similar to the 2012 season, club teams will be eligible for a provincial title if they attend each of the official stops. Meraloma, Burnaby Lake, Abbotsford and Bayside's tournaments are sanctioned by the BC Rugby Union for committing to fielding both men's and women's seven-a-side teams during the competition. Invitational and rep sides will also be invited to the tournaments although they will not be eligible for accruing points towards a provincial title.
The Vancouver Rugby Sevens will kick off the 2013 BC Rugby Sevens Series on June 22nd with Meraloma Rugby Club set to host the opening tournament of the four-stop circuit this summer. Teams eligible for a provincial title will also be competing at the Burnaby Lake Lighthouse Sevens on July 27th, the Abbotsford Rugby Sevens on August 3rd and the Bayside Summer Sevens on August 10th.
