Published Thursday, May 23, 2013

With the support of Rugby Canada and the BC Rugby Union, Shawnigan Lake School will be hosting the 4th Annual Residential Summer Rugby Academy from July 7th - 12th, 2013.

The Shawnigan Lake School Rugby Academy will feature a Residential Coaching Clinic led by National Women's Team coach John Tait.

Coinciding with the coaching clinic will be a Residential Rugby Academy for rugby players, boys and girls, between 14 and 17 years of age. The Academy is open to players of mixed abilities.

Canada's best youth coaching staff, lead by Jim Delaney (Canadian U17 Coach) will focus on skill development and games to ensure that each participant enjoys the experience and recognizes what it takes to play rugby at a national level. Guest appearances by Kieran Crowley (Canadian Senior Men's XVs Coach) and Geraint John (Canadian Senior Men's 7s Coach) will also be made.

There have been registrations from across Canada and around the World with representation from California, Qatar, Hong Kong, Hawaii, and Nova Scotia. Book your place now by contacting Gary Dukelow (gdukelow@shawnigan.ca), Camp Director or Barkley Logan (wjblogan@shaw.ca), Camp Registrar.
