VANCOUVER - The Vancouver Rowing Club defeated Capilano RFC over the weekend in a U16 Lower Mainland derby at Brockton Oval. A standout during the match was Rowers captain and this week's BC Rugby Junior MVP, Ben Scher.
"Ben has consistently been one of our top players, displaying not only talent on the field, but leadership on and off the field as well," said Rowers coach Ian Cooper. "Ben always attends practice, is the first person to volunteer for a task, and always supports his teammates. He has a voracious appetite to learn more, and constantly seeks to improve his game. He has a bright future ahead!"
