With the excitement of rugby’s involvement in the 2016 Rio Olympics, BC Rugby recognizes the need to ensure our youth rugby players have a pathway to the Canadian national team. BC Rugby is embarking in a development structure that will ensure BC athletes will represent our country and grace the Olympic podium. If you are interested in this pursuit please attend one of these trial sessions.
U18 Girls Rugby Sevens Provincial Team Trials
Who: High School Girls (Ages 14-18 as of January 1, 2013). Experience in Sevens Rugby not required. Open to all athletes.
Trial Info:
• Sat. December 8 – Artificial Field 2, Beban Park, Nanaimo, Vancouver Island (8am-11am)
• Sun. December 9 – Field 5, Burnaby Lake Sports Complex West, Burnaby (9am-12pm)
• Sat. December 15 – Kamloops – Field Venue TBC (9am-12pm)
Player Fee: $20
Participants are required to bring water bottles, running shoes, cleats, and weather appropriate rugby and training gear.
