The BC U14 boys provincial teams are in Ontario this week for the annual National Interprovincial Festival where they are scheduled to play against provinces from across Canada. Team Manager Don Brown has provided the following updates from Oakville, where the two BC Teams known as the 'Roar' and 'Growl' are staying.
On Thursday, August 2nd, the BC U14s will scrum down against Ontario's two teams. BC's lineups are provided below.

Saturday July 28th
Airport 6am
"Everything went well, flight was great, air Canada has tv in all the seat backs so everyone was entertained.
2 buses picked us up and we where in Sheridan Colledge Oakville by 5pm. We had a late lunch and found the local high school for a practice. It was a bit of a hike through some bush and trails. The crickets in the trees gave it a bit of a tropical feel and it is very warm here. After practice we went out for dinner, it was wings night so the boys ate 400 wings and 9 large pizzas! Some veggie trays where devoured also. No pop just water. Lights out was 11pm.
Sunday July 29th - GAME DAY vs Oakville
"Breakfast was casual - boys drifting down to eat between 7 and 830. 9am practice. Kyle Joe and Darian Matilda slepped in and missed so were the first duty boys! The chores for sunday were packing the team equipment and training gear and doing laundry. Duty boys for Monday were decided by the 2 late comers for the 11am bus Matt Himphen -Fraser and Mike Smith. We arrived at Rogers Place around noon and had lunch inside the stadium during the baseball game. When we left it was 3 to 1 for Detroit in the 8th inning.

"They [Oakville Crusaders] are a large club that went unbeaten this year but where missing 8 boys that have been selected for the Ontario squad. The pitch was very hard and dry as they are in drought conditions here and the well has run dry to water the fields."
