The 34th Can Am 7’s will take place at the Bellingham Rugby and Polo fields in Ferndale, Washington. This year’s event will be held on Saturday July 14 and will feature an Elite Men and Women’s Division as well as the popular Social/Open Division.
US National 7’s Champions, Old Puget Sound Beach will again be back to defend their Can Am title. Strong challenges will come from Bayside and The Guardians from north of the border while Portland and the Pacific Rovers will be teams to contend with from south of the border. The competition is good, the venue is beautiful, and the organization of the event is of the highest order.
The Bellingham Rugby and Polo Fields are located ten miles south of the border and ten miles north of Bellingham. Take Exit 266 off I-5 and head east on the Grandview Road, through the stop sign and follow the signs.
The tournament is limited to 24 teams and there are a few spots left. Teams can register online by going to www.chuckanutrugby.com
The very popular “In goal Beer Garden”, sponsored by Heineken, will open at 11:00 AM.
