More than 50 excellent young south island athletes attended the first week of South Island Jr Tide training held at Claremont Senior Secondary school in Victoria.
The successful Junior Tide program is once again led by Program Director, Jeff Williams and Technical Director Shane Thompson along with head Coaches Winston Stanley & Mike Collins, assisted by Shane Muldrew, Clayton Daum & Dylan Tanner.
There will be 6 more sessions and 2 test matches over the next three weeks providing several more opportunities for the coaching team to select the final line-ups for the Provincial Regional Champions to be held in July.
The training / selections are free to local athletes and are held at Claremont H S (Tuesday & Thursday 5:00 – 7:00 pm) there are still selections to be finalized so if you or someone you know is interested in representative rugby contact the Tide Managers, Noel Hall & Mark Pratt at tiderugby@shaw.ca .
The 2012, U16 and U18 SI Jr Tide program is open to all boys born in 1994/95 and 1996/97.
