BC Elite Youth Sevens ID session scheduled for Okanagan region

KELOWNA - Head coach of the BC Elite Youth Sevens program Shane Thompson will be holding an ID session in the Okanagan region on May 12th. The session will be for male athletes in the Under-16 (born in '96-'97) age grade.

This will be the only session for the Okanagan region (Kamloops, Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton) and players from outside of Kelowna are welcome to attend. Please note this will be a session for experienced players and not an introductory clinic for seven-a-side rugby.

About the BCEY7s
The objective of the BC Elite Youth Sevens program is to create and deliver a development pathway for junior athletes, who can develop skills to represent Canada with distinction at future Rugby World Cup tournaments and the Olympic Games. Based on the current development initiatives offered in British Columbia, it is the intention of this program to augment current high school and club 15-a-side programs with a focus on identifying athletes who would be suitable to represent British Columbia and Canada in the future.
