VANCOUVER - With playoffs just around the corner, BC Rugby leagues are currently in full swing with 44 games scheduled for this weekend. This Sunday will also feature the Year End BC Rugby True Blue Mini Jamboree and at the high school level 16 teams will contest for the annual BCSSRU provincial sevens title.
Playoffs are already underway for the Third Division as the NVIRU final sees Cowichan away to Velox on Sunday afternoon. In the Tier Two Okanagan Spring Brewery Leagues, Bayside and Rowers are currently jockeying for first place in the standings with the league winner earning promotion to the 2012-2013 Canadian Direct Insurance Premier League. This Saturday will also wrap up the regular season for the Women's Adidas Premiership as teams battle for home playoff berths. The Lower Mainland U16 Men's leagues are currently in the midst of playoffs with semifinals kicking off on Sunday.
