played for Burnaby Lake RC.  Once I graduated I played for SFU for one season before helping start up the Pocomo women's side in 2000. The Pocomo women competed for 5 seasons before merging with Dougals College to form United in 2005.  I hung up my boots in 2009 to coach the United Women."

What positions have you played and which one is your strongest?
"As a more spritely young player I competed as a scrum half, fly half, flank and inside centre. However, most of my playing time has been in the front row."

Do you see yourself leaving the game of rugby any time soon?
"Only time will tell!"

What is your greatest rugby memory either as a player or as a volunteer?
"Over the years I have had some amazing memories and made the greatest friends in this community. I'd have to say though that the greatest moment is putting on my boots beside a player that I've coached for years and taking the field together.  To me that feels like a job well done- and the ultimate return on an investment!  What greater prize than sharing the game you love?"

The First XV Volunteer Appreciation program is an initiative designed to recognize the valuable pillars of our membership that help keep our sport afloat. Over the course of the 2011-2012 season we will recognize 15 valuable members of the community. Each recognized volunteer will be presented with a "thank you" item, a customized BC Rugby Umbrella. Each individual will then receive another 10 thank you items to show their appreciation to the 10 top volunteers that work in their club.
