Williams Lake, BC: A young rugby player out of Williams Lake, BC has recently been diagnosed with stage three brain cancer. Caleb Gill, an 18-year-old, multi-sport athlete who excelled in rugby needs the support of the community.

Williams Lake Secondary head coach and Northern BC Zone Representative Morley Wilson is leading an initiative to help make things a little easier in the New Year for Caleb and his family.

"I have a favour to ask," said Wilson. "I am doing my best to raise funds to assist this young man and his family, as they got through these trying times. I am asking each club in BC to donate a new, team jersey, which can be auctioned off with the proceeds going to the Gill Family Trust; which is registered with the Williams Lake and District Credit Union."

Those interested in helping out the initiative are asked to contact Morley at morley.wilson@sd27.bc.ca.

"I know it is a lot to ask, but if your club can help out with this undertaking, please contact me," Morley added. "We can discuss details, and help to support a fellow young rugby player, and a fine young man."
