BC Rugby hiring Youth Girls Rugby Development Officer

Vancouver, BC: The British Columbia Rugby Union, the Provincial Sport governing body for the sport of rugby in BC, is seeking a contractor who is passionate about the development of girls and women’s rugby.  Working directly with the Provincial Coach & Development Manager; the successful contractor will possess exemplary interpersonal and communication skills required to network with coaches, athletes, volunteers, staff and the general public.

The British Columbia Rugby Union, Youth Girls Rugby Development Officer contract will require an individual who ideally can:
•    Work with clubs and schools to establish strategic initiatives related to developing the game for girls and women.
•    Establish a defined period work plan, consistent with BC Rugby programs including regional rugby strategic priorities and initiatives.
•    Develop relationships with relevant schools and clubs to promote and grow rugby as a school and community sport.
•    Deliver courses, clinics, workshops to community / school based coaches.
•    Assist in the recruitment and retention of referees, coaches and volunteers for girls and women’s rugby.
•    Assist with BC Rugby programs as requested.
•    Communicate effectively via email, telephone and in-person.
•    Drive and have access to a vehicle.
