Coach's quotes - Jeff Williams
"Today was just an all around complete team effort," said BC Men's U18  head coach Jeff Williams. "One of the things that we worked on at our camp was making sure that our defence around the rucks and mauls was really tight. I think that really showed today when we scored 97 points without conceding a single try. At one point during the Manitoba game, we were defending on our own try line for the final two minutes and our defence eventually forced a turnover which we capitalized on to score. Pat Kay, our captain, has had some phenomenal kicking and has been hitting all of his conversions. All around, it has been a great team effort."

Wed. August 17: BC [ 19 - 8] Nova Scotia
Thurs. August 18: BC vs Ontario-2
Thurs. August 18: BC vs Newfoundland

Coach's quotes - Brad Baker
"The staff of the BC U18 women's team are satisfied with our 2-0 start. The team played the first game of the tournament with high spirits and were unlucky to score a fourth try against Quebec. In the second game the team scored early but then had difficulties finding their legs. The staff is working on preparing the team for an important match versus Ontario-2 on Thursday morning. This game will be an important factor for the team to progress in the tournament."

Men's U16 BC-2(Blue) Team Results

Wed. August 17: BC-2 [54 - 0] New Brunswick
Thurs. August 18: BC-2 vs Alberta
Thurs. August 18: BC-2 vs Newfoundland

Coach's quotes - Dave Brown
"Playing Ontario-1 to open the tournament was a tough way to start, but the team did well to have the game tied 7-7 at the half. We lost some key turnovers in the second half and Ontario capitalized immediately to pull away. On a positive note, we got every player on the field and this certainly seemed to help in our second game against New Brunswick. We  hope the experience gained will now help our performances on day two against Alberta and Newfoundland."
