has partnered with BC Rugby to bring a fantastic learning opportunity to High
School coaches in Western Canada to participate in an IRB Level 1 sevens
coaching course.

This course will educate
coaches on the specialist skills and attributes needed in the sevens game to
further develop rugby sevens in Canada.
Held at Burnaby Lake on Sunday, March 27, this course will be
available at a highly reduced registration fee of $75.00 per coach. High School
coaches are encouraged to contact BC Rugby Manager of Member Services Louise Wheeler at 604-737-3065 or at lwheeler@bcrugby.com
to register as early as possible as the course is limited to 50 attendees.
Coaches will be required to provide proof of their coaching at the high school
level.
Attendees will complete the IRB Level 1 – Coaching Sevens accreditation.
Coaches who have completed any prior NCCP training will be able to use this
course towards NCCP credits in the near future. Rugby Canada is re-developing
the current NCCP Model and will be re-launching the Community Initiation
context in April 2011, which will allow coaches to add this course to their
NCCP transcript as a Community Sevens workshop.
