As one of BC’s leading multi-disciplinary real estate organizations, Adera has built a world-class portfolio that includes the development of more than 8,000 homes and over 3 million square feet of commercial space. If that’s not enough to impress the toughest critics, Adera has taken the initiative in leading the province in sustainable building by thinking green and never giving up on innovation. This commitment is reflected in all of Adera's work, from distinguished residences at UBC, to condos and townhomes spread throughout the Lower Mainland.
As a Platinum sponsor of Built Green BC, Adera is the largest builder of Built Green homes in British Columbia. The Canadian Home Builders’ Association has recognized Adera as Built Green Builder of the Year for three consecutive years (2009-2011). In 2007, Adera was awarded the BC Hydro Power Smart Excellence Award for its commitment to environmental sustainability. Adera has been named Best Builder in BC four times, winner of the Best Customer Service Award seven times, and the first ever Customer Choice Award for BC Builders, all by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of BC – a record unmatched in the industry.
Adera has diversified holdings in mortgage lending, income producing real estate, telecommunications, manufacturing, and insurance.
Through his financial support, Kevin Mahon was instrumental in establishing the highly-successful BC Elite Youth Sevens academy program. The initiative was established to help develop young athletes into the rugby players who will be best qualified to represent Canada with distinction at future Olympic Games and Rugby World Cup tournaments. The program is geared towards identifying, training and developing athletes who can go on to represent their Regions, their Province and Canada at the age grade level and beyond.
In just its second year, the BCEY7's U18 men's team went undefeated sweeping their divisions at the Las Vagas Invitational Sevens, Hong Kong International Youth Sevens and the Victoria International Sevens. A graduate of the program, Justin Douglas, is currently competing for Canada on the International Rugby Board Sevens World Series.
