Youth Sevens Trial

Head coach of the BC Elite Youth Sevens program Shane Thompson is holding a series of open camps to identify players for the upcoming 2011 Western Games.

All male players born in 1995 are invited to either a trial held in Vancouver at UBC’s Stadium Field or at UVic’s Wallace Field.

The Western Canada Games, scheduled for August 5-14 in Kamloops, BC, will feature rugby sevens instead of the more traditional 15-a-side game. To prepare for the upcoming season, Thompson is hoping to identify more rugby players capable of playing the high-tempo, abbreviated version of rugby.
