1.1 The BC Rugby Union policy of Fair Play promotes the principles of respect, responsibility and integrity.
1.2 The purpose of this document is to clearly inform all BC Rugby Union athletes, coaches, staff and members of the BC Rugby Union on the BC Rugby Union Fair Play policy.
2.1 The principle of respect is to treat all participants (athletes, coaches, staff and members) with respect at all times.
2.2 That all participants of Rugby in British Columbia are involved in the sport for enjoyment and should not be intimidated from participation in the sport.
2.3 All participants will respect and play by the Laws of the game as defined and explained by the International Rugby Football Board (IRFB).
3.1 That all participants will act in a responsible and safe manner in any activities sanctioned by the BC Rugby Union.
4.1 That all participants are expected to be honest, sincere and honorable in their relationships with other participants.
4.2 That coaches and officials will promote the value of sport for individuals, teams and society in general and will encourage all participants to continue their involvement in the sport.
4.3 This policy covers all BC Rugby Union members, coaching staff, administration staff and others associated with the BC Rugby Union operation.
5. REVIEW AND APPROVAL
5.1 This policy was approved by the BCRU Board of Directors on the 23rd day of June, 2001.
5.2 This policy shall be reviewed by the BCRU Vice- President of Administration and the Executive Director on a regular basis, whom shall recommend revisions to the BCRU Board of Directors.
