BC U18 Girls' XV Tour 2018 - England

The tour is a continuation of BC Rugby’s commitment to seek out challenging and meaningful competition for the Province’s top athletes, ensuring they continue to be developed for top-level rugby.  The team will be led by Head Coach Stuart Crowley who was at the helm of last year’s highly successful tour of Ireland, defeating teams from Munster and Leinster in the process.

As part of the tour, taking place between August 8-19, the team will test itself against three teams in the South East of England including Surrey County, Old Albanians RFC and Pulborough RFC.

Funding:

Touring has a long history in the game of rugby with clubs, provinces and national teams embarking on tours from some of the earliest years of the sport.  Tours not only bring the opportunity to play against new and challenging opponents, but it also offers a chance for cultural exchanges, forming of bonds between players and teams and establishes a legacy for future teams.

Travel of this nature always comes with a price tag and many of the names athletes are already hard at work raising the necessary funds to get them safely to England.  You can help by supporting one or a number of athletes via their fundraising links below.  It doesn't need to be a big contribution, even a few dollars here or there can add up and help send these athletes on the trip of a lifetime.  For some of them, this may even be a stepping stone on the way to representing Canada on the National Women's Team one day.
